Elf on a Shelf is basically any elf like toy or character that you have available (although they sell a BRAND name Elf version also). We went with Christina Popinkins because frankly...the Elf on a Shelf scared us. It was a little to creepy for our house. Christina, as you will see, has a much nicer look about her and since in 2009 we became the proud parents of a 9 year old girl it just made sense. We picked her up from the store locally. I am sure you can find one at many locations local to you also...if not just google Elf on the Shelf or even Elf doll and your guaranteed to find many choices online.
Christina Popinkins' story is that she visits our house every night once the Christmas tree is first lit until Christmas Eve. On her visits, she watches the people in our house and then reports back to Santa with news for the Naughty or Nice list. In our house, she also plays hide and go seek with our daughter. Every night she disappears and reappears somewhere in our home. Sometimes with hilarious consequences. Sometimes...with disasterous ones! (*wink*)
So we figured we shouldn't have all the fun enjoying her hijinx! We thought we'd share them with you! So without further ado....WELCOME to The Naughty Elf! Enjoy!
